Brunels is an independent digital archive dedicated to original clothing connected to music and popular culture, with a particular focus on tour, promotional and independently produced garments from the 1980s and 1990s. Rather than operating as a shop, the archive catalogues each piece as an artefact — researched, authenticated and photographed to museum standards, then recorded with the most accurate historical information we can verify, from tour dates and manufacturers to the small details that distinguish an original from a later reproduction.

The archive is built for collectors, historians, authentication researchers and enthusiasts who want to understand a garment's context rather than simply acquire it. Every record is free to browse and intended as a public reference: a way to authenticate a piece in your own collection, trace a graphic back to its origin, or learn the story behind a shirt you already love. Where information is uncertain, that uncertainty is stated plainly rather than smoothed over.

Brunels is built and maintained in London by a small team that sources directly from original owners, former crew, record shops and industry employees wherever possible, so that the chain of custody behind each piece can be recorded alongside the garment itself. Serious offers on available pieces are considered, but the priority remains documentation over commerce — preserving what is known before it is lost.
